Welcome to the Anarchy Guide!

This page will guide you through downloading, installing, and starting your journey in Anarchy. Follow these steps carefully to ensure a smooth setup.

Step 1: Download the WoW 3.3.5a enUS Client

Before starting, you need the original World of Warcraft 3.3.5a enUS client. If you haven't already done so, head to our Downloads page to get the necessary files.

Step 2: Download and Place the Anarchy Game Files

To play Anarchy, you'll need to download and set up our game files. You can find the latest version of these files on our Downloads page.

  1. Download the latest Anarchy Game Files.

  2. Place the Files in Your WoW Folder:

    • Anarchy.exe: Move the Anarchy.exe file to your WoW directory (where the original WoW.exe is located).
    • Data Folder: Move the patch-4.MPQ file into your WoW directory's Data folder.
    • enUS Folder: Move the patch-enUS-4.MPQ file into the Data > enUS folder in your WoW directory.
    • Interface Folder: Place the AIO_Client folder (from the downloaded Interface folder) into your WoW directory's Interface > AddOns folder.

Step 3: Launch the Game

Once all files are in their correct places, you're ready to play!

  • Use Anarchy.exe in your WoW folder to start the game.
  • Log in using your Anarchy account credentials.
    (If you don’t have an account yet, you can create one here).

Step 4: Stay Up to Date

It's important to keep your game client up to date to avoid issues with logging in or gameplay.

  1. Check for Updates:
    Visit the Downloads Page to the latest version of the Anarchy Game Files listed.

  2. Compare Your Version:
    Open Anarchy.exe and look at the bottom right of the login screen to see your current version (e.g., x.x.x).

  3. Update If Needed:
    If your version is older than the latest version listed on the Downloads Page, then download the newest Anarchy Game Files from there and follow the installation steps again to ensure everything is up to date.

Troubleshooting

If you're having issues with the game:

  • Ensure you’ve downloaded the latest files from our Downloads Page.
  • Make sure you're installing the Anarchy Game Files on a clean and original World of Warcraft 3.3.5a enUS client. Any non-original files in your WoW directory can cause issues.
  • Follow the instructions on this How to Play page carefully to make sure everything is set up properly.
