How to Play Anarchy

This guide walks you through getting ready for Anarchy — from preparing your game client to knowing exactly what to do on launch day.

Launch Status: Anarchy is currently in pre-launch. You can create your account and prepare your World of Warcraft 3.3.5a client now. The Anarchy game files will be released when we announce launch on our Discord server.

Step-by-Step Setup

    Create Your Anarchy Account

    Your account is what you’ll use to log into the game on launch day.

    • Visit the Account Creation page.
    • Choose a username and password you’ll remember.
    • Verify your account if prompted by the site.

    Prepare a Clean WoW 3.3.5a enUS Client

    Anarchy runs on the original World of Warcraft 3.3.5a enUS client. You’ll need a clean, unmodified installation ready before launch.

    • Download a 3.3.5a enUS client from a trusted source listed on our Downloads page.
    • Extract the client to a dedicated folder (for example: C:\Games\WoW335a).
    • Do not add custom patches or other private-server files to this folder. Keep it clean for Anarchy.
    Tip: Back up this clean client somewhere safe. If you ever need to reinstall, you can copy from your backup instead of downloading again.

    At Launch: Install the Anarchy Game Files

    Once Anarchy launches, we’ll release our custom game files (patches) on the website. These files turn your clean 3.3.5a client into the Anarchy experience.

    • Watch for the launch announcement and download link in Discord and on the Downloads page.
    • Download the latest Anarchy Game Files package.
    • Follow the instructions on the download page to place each file in the correct folders (for example: Data, Data\enUS, or Interface\AddOns).
    Important: Do not install Anarchy files into a client that already has other private-server patches. Always use your clean 3.3.5a folder.

    Launch Day: Enter the World

    When the files are installed and Anarchy is live, you’ll be ready to log in and play.

    • Run WoW.exe (or the renamed Anarchy launcher, if provided).
    • On the login screen, enter your Anarchy account username and password.
    • Select the Anarchy realm from the realm list.
    • Create your character and begin your journey through Evercross.
